Job Requirements:
- Excellent facilitation skills, including previous experience in conducting training, developing training materials, and conducting capacity-building needs assessments (highly desirable).
- Familiarity with CPIMS+ and other information management systems (highly desirable).
- Experience in community-based protection is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in coordinating activities, developing plans, and drafting reports.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with community leaders, members, children, and youth.
- Good in spoken and written English.
- Computer literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to independently manage competing priorities.
- Willingness and ability to travel within NES (Northeast Syria).
- Ability to work autonomously, without direct supervision, and meet tight deadlines.
- With the support and under the supervision of the Protection Coordinator, the Case managers supervisor will work closely with Case Managers to Identify and provide capacity-building training, assisting caseworkers in building and maintaining the database of individual case files, including case planning, case follow-up, and documentation of individual GBV and women & girls empowerment cases
- At least two years’ work experience preferably in protection, case management, and/or work with families, caregivers, communities, and vulnerable individuals.
- NGO experience preferable.
- Good understanding of protection-related technical guidelines and standards, including Case Management principles and guidelines, Minimum Standards for Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence in Emergencies (GBV), Child Protection Minimum Standards (CP), IASC guidelines, and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA).
Job Description:
- Supervise CP and GBV caseworkers to ensure vulnerable children and GBV survivors receive support in a safe and timely manner.
- Coordinate with relevant agencies and authorities for referrals.
- Assist caseworkers in building and maintaining a database of individual case files, including case planning, follow-up, and documentation of GBV and women & girls’ empowerment cases.
- Maintain a GBV Incident Tracker to analyze documented cases for weekly, monthly, and quarterly statistics for internal, donor, and interagency reporting in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular meetings with caseworkers for debriefing and providing necessary support.
- Identify and provide capacity-building training for the case management team.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, progress, and other reports as required.
- Update the service mapping and ensure a solidified referral pathway at the state level.
- Ensure strict adherence to child protection, child safeguarding, GBV minimum standards, and case management principles at all times, including maintaining confidentiality, adopting a survivor-centered approach, and acting in the best interests of the child.
- Actively develop and maintain effective working relationships with case management actors in the field, including local authorities, local partners, and INGOs.
Coordination:
- Coordinate with the protection program coordinator on all project issues.
- Regularly attend meetings at appropriate levels to provide field input on AFH priorities.
- Ensure that field concerns and challenges are communicated to relevant stakeholders.
Other Information’s:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, child development/psychology, sociology or other relevant field or equivalent work experience is desirable.
