Action for Humanity Organization is a non-governmental, non-profit, neutral organization that looks forward to rebuilding human life and building a generation capable of advancing society by providing them with all the necessities of life such as food, medicine, education, medical aid and water.


Position: Education Officer

Direct manager position: Education coordinator

Project/ Workplace: Northeast Syria, Deir-Ezzor – Sefeera.

Advertising start date: 01/10/2024

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in education or any relevant field with extensive training in project management.

 

Experience in emergency education projects is preferable.

 

At least four years’ professional work experience in education programming in the region.

 

Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft office (word and excel)


 

Skills & Abilities

 

Must be fluent in English, and Arabic languages both written and spoken.

 

 Experience in management of project is required.

 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and sound judgment, planning, and team building and
facilitating skills.

 Ability to work under pressure, proactive and independent working style.

 

 Adaptability and flexibility.

 

 Supports Effective Teamwork and Cooperation.

 

 Demonstrated experience in community mobilization, organization, and relationship building

 

 

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

Present the project and AFH in formal meetings with external entities as required.

 

Develop and manage the implementation of project activities to achieve project goals and objectives including designing and implementing relevant indicators, monitoring and evaluation systems and frameworks.

 

Develop Detail Implementation plan, procurement plan, human resource plan, budget spending trend monitoring plan and performance indicators for each project. In accordance with all the other departments.

 

Contribute to the development of proposals for new funding opportunities.

 

Provide supervision, guidance and monitoring for project staff, ensuring clarity over project plans and priorities, and encouraging effective teamwork. 

 

Ensure that project teams develop community acceptance in the project areas, having respectful relationships with community members.

 

Ensure timely and accurate contributions to project narrative reports, quarterly performance indicator tracking tables, baseline, and final reports.
