Collate payment files, Performing detailed review of back-up documentation to ensure presence and accuracy of all required supporting documentation and ensure the necessary compliances before processing payment.
Ensure the validity of the invoices (quality of invoices, validation); check that vouchers are properly filled
Review and highlight any anomalies on payment requests received from various team members
Ensure all support documents in English or translated into English
Ensure project allocation are accurate
In a timely manner, ensure payments are being made to suppliers in accordance with the organization financial policies and procedures.
Ensure the documents are scanned and uploaded to the SharePoint folder on timely manner
Manage and review cash book ensuring all entries are accurate and fully supported by proper documentation; allocating expenditure following defined analytic lines and following and analysing these lines with the Finance Manager
Carrying out the financial orientation to new joining staff
Conduct regular coaching session to all the team members to build up capacity in area of financial management, documentation, compliance with process
Ensure all correct procedures, including authorisation and holding limits, with respect to floats are being adhered to in Dier AZzour office.
Ensure cash counts and cash reconciliations are being performed on a weekly and monthly basis in Dier AZzour office and to look for the difference, if any
Support to prepare cash forecast of Dier AZzour Office
Witness and verify all Hawala payments in AZzour together with Finance assistant.
Ensure all procedures and controls around Hawala payment process are being followed in Dier AZzour office.
Ensure relevant hardcopy and soft copy files are appropriately maintained.
Liases with Syria Finance Manager to discuss and resolve any issues as required.

Together with Finance assistant assure the finance documents properly stored according to archive system
Ensure that the appropriate finance procedures are set up and operational in Dier AZzour office (e.g. Hawala payments, cash movements, back-up check, authority levels, coding, payments, filing, floats etc).
Manage the collection of national staff timesheets for Dier AZzour before submission to Finance Manager.
Act as finance representation on procurement committees taking place in Dier AZzour.
Cooperate with Logistics Officers/Assistants ensure regular physical stock counts (monthly) reconciling physical stocks with stock cards and/or stationery lists according to existing logistics procedures.
Support the organization work in Syria by undertaking other tasks as directed by the Finance Manager, Area Coordinator or Finance Coordinator.
Be aware of, understand and comply with all policies and procedures (Code of Conduct, finance, logistics, HR, security management etc).
Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Country Financial Controller or Syria Finance Manager.

Essential
- At least 3 years demonstrated work experience in finance field or equivalent demonstrated analytic skills.
