Management of vehicle fleet.
- Assist in the planning and execution of maintenance and repair work on mission vehicles.
- Ensure that a complete breakdown kit available on board all vehicles.
- Check that vehicle log books are in place and are used correctly on a daily basis.
- Prevent misappropriation of petrol and spare parts (according to the service contract conditions for rent of vehicles).
- Create and update the supplier forms relating to the vehicles.
- Help in costs for vehicle rentals.
- Participate in drawing up mechanical assessments.
- Monitor the proper operation of all security and communication equipment in the vehicles.
- Ensure that a fuel safety stock is maintained at all times.
- Report all accidents to the line manager.
- Draw up the vehicle schedule and make sure that drivers/vehicles follow up (km done, working days) tools up to date.
- Ensure that SI standard security procedure related to fleet in place.
- Assist in monitoring and consolidating fuel consumption for all vehicles.
Supervising the maintenance and follow up of SI’s premises and infrastructures :
- Following up the consumption of office material, fuel, and lubricants used in the different facilities (office, house, store…etc).
- Ensure the proper utility and good shape of the facilities (plumbing/water and electricity supply device/ sanitary ware of the premises); checking the upkeep and cleanliness of the various spaces (gardens, courtyards…etc); checking that domestic waste is disposed of correctly in the different facilities and waste treatment installations are properly maintained.
- Provision of simple reparations and maintenance work.
- Check that installations and buildings conform to security norms (closures and doorways in a good state, open spaces lit up, buildings identified, fire extinguishers present, electrical installations earthed, ..etc)
- Daily inspect Solidarites International offices and GH on the request of Deputy Logistician to assess what work is necessary.
- Look after all material or furniture on the base, carry out minor maintenance and repair work as well as improvements to Solidarites International buildings, once validation has been received from the line manager.
- Supervise the efficient use of generators on the base and plan maintenance operations and responsibility for their filling every day with the cooperation with the watchmen.
- Help the teams unload small items of equipment.
Stock Management.
- Monitor the storage facilities and infrastructure both from inside and outside; locate damages and propose the necessary repairs.
- Monitor the quality of products at the time of receipt, put aside non-compliant or infected products and report to the logistics manager.
- Regularly monitor the quality of products during storage. Pay attention to expiration dates.
- Draft or complete dispatch and receipt documents in compliance with Solidarites International standards.
- Maintain updated inventory lists.
- Participate in monthly stored goods inventories and reconciliation with what should be in stock.
General
- Working with Logistic Manager on the submission that document of his agenda are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with SI’s policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as assigned by line manager.
- Pass on any security-related information to his/her line manager.
- Carry out SI’s equipment/IT telecommunications management as backup of logistic officer (IT/equipment).
