Cooperative Housing Foundation (CHF) is a non-profit organization that works closely with communities worldwide to bring about sustainable changes that improve the lives and livelihoods of the vulnerable. In Syria, CHF is providing humanitarian support to vulnerable households through FSL activities. CHF is seeking an Enumerator for Data Collection (20) for Alhassakah to support FSL Activities in terms of implementation of data collection and verifying IDPs data in the targeted camps.
General Position Summary:
The Enumerator for Data Collection reports to the Food Security and Livelihood Program Assistant, focusing on the essential task of data collection for the effective implementation of food assistance programs. This role ensures adherence to CHFs’ policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs), guidelines, and procedures in all data collection activities. The Enumerator actively participates in and provides input on food security data collection /registration and verification activities and administrative tasks assigned in each district. Additionally, they support the overall Food Security teams in strategic contingency planning ahead of anticipated humanitarian responses.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
•
Collect data related to registration, verification, assessments, surveys, data collection, and entry, following the training provided by the FSL program and MERL department team.

Assist in preparing for data collection activities, whether in the office or at camps.
•
Record data accurately and promptly using the designated application.
•
Provide feedback and recommend improvements for the planning and delivery of field activities.
•
Possess good experience in using data collection software.
•
Coordinate closely with FSL program Assistants to determine the weekly work plan.
•
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Accountability to Beneficiaries:
The enumerator for Data collection is expected to support all efforts towards accountability, specifically to our beneficiaries to international standards guiding international relief and development work, while actively engaging beneficiary communities as equal partners in the design, monitoring, and evaluation of our field activities.
Accountability:
• Reports Directly To: Food Security and LivelihoodLivelihood program assistant.
• Works Directly with FSL program assistants, FSL program officer and MERL department team.
Knowledge and Experience:
• A university degree is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in data collection with NGOs, knowledge of relevant sectors like Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL), or similar fields would be beneficial.
• Have a clear understanding of the context in the camps.
• Understanding of the social, political, and economic context of Syria Country.
• Ability to think independently and solve problemsproblems.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Honest, hardworking, and committed to community development.
• Proactive and able to cope with a challenging and constantly evolving humanitarian work environment, often under pressure.

Due to program needs and facilitating the activities, Priority will be given to candidates who are based or close to targeting locations.

Due to the nature of work in the context of IDP camps, where there are female household heads and female beneficiaries, FSL program recommends having a certain percentage of female candidates at each site in alignment with the job description and requirements.
