ROLE PURPOSE:
The Field Assistant under site engineer supervision will carry out on-sites and following up all site’s assessment, implementation, maintenance and recording, making sure all sites facilities is accessible & functional and matching humanitarian standers, beside the field assistant will be a back stopping & supervise as replacement of permanent field team during emergencies situations all operation activities in sites such as SWM, Desludging and water supply with regular reports to line manager.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY :
- Assist and follow up on the implementation of engineering works such as maintenance, implementation and following site regular activities.
- Submit, Prepare, daily, weekly statics of the implemented activities at site level.
- Following the installation, removing, relocating, and numbering the Family tents.
- Determine all the problems and constraints on the work site, through proper records and reporting to related department.
- Work closely with the site engineer to ensure that all safety standards are implemented on the work site.
- Write a daily report on the designated issues mentioning the suitable recommendations for solving the issues.
- Providing support to all sections of the program according to the need (human resources – distribution – monitoring – registration) , which include paper work during daily workflow , receive and handle any other department notes or feedback regarding overall sites situation or any improvements need at office
- Maintains good rapport and communication with all field staff, sector leaders, block leaders and local authority.
- Respect Blumont and humanitarian rules and regulations during the work implementations .
- Writing weekly reports for the implemented activities.
- Follow up on the maintenance activities which are implemented by Blumont and the other actors in the camp, also guide the technician team inside and outside the camp for operating the networks such as (water network, electricity network …etc.)
- Ability to solve daily problems, interpreting a variety of instructions.
- Any other duties as reasonable assigned by the line manager.
Additional job responsibilities :
- Implement regular water tests at tanks level, HHs level and water stations \ source making sure it matches the standards.
- Monitor and support any activities implemented by Blumont or other NGOs such as providing public services in the camp or collective Centers.
- Maintain regular archiving of all field related files, reports, and tracks under line manager supervision.
- Performing tasks according to priorities and plans, producing schedules and monitor field works.
