Background:
CHF is an international non-profit humanitarian and development organization that works closely with communities worldwide to bring about sustainable changes that improve the lives and livelihoods of the vulnerable. In Syria, CHF is providing emergency humanitarian assistance to individuals displaced due to the conflict in Syria.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Watchman will provide security and safety support for the staff members, Office, and assets. The Watchman reports to the Safety/Security and Access Assistant in Derik.

Main Tasks:
•
Be the first point of contact for visitors in the office.
•
Receive visitors in a professional manner.
•
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of visitors.
•
Monitor the warehouse entrance and exit to avoid any problems.
•
Prevent unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
•
Screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
•
To ensure the safety and security of CHF facilities.
•
Remain familiar with emergency and other procedures for dealing with and reporting incidents. Ensure these procedures are followed whenever necessary. This includes operating any emergency equipment
•
Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
•
Deal with emergency situations and report them accordingly.
•
Issue visitor ID card and fill out visitor log sheet.
•
Turning the generator on and off, cleaning it, and filling out the log sheet.
•
Any other related task assigned by the direct supervisor.

Education:
•
Secondary School Certificate (at least).

Experience required:
•
Previous experience in working as a watchman for an INGO for 2 years at least.
•
Previous experience in working in maintenance is an add.
•
Preferred who received training about safety/security procedures.
•
Ability to work well in unstable and frequently changing security environments
•
Physically capability
•
Fluency in Arabic.
