Overview:
Cooperative Housing Foundation (CHF) International is a humanitarian organization providing urgent support to the people of Syria. All project activities are politically neutral, independent, and impartial. We provide support to everyone based on need, not political, religious, ethnic, or tribal affiliation.
CHF is seeking a professional for the position of Cleaner for a multi-year USAID-funded project “Growing Agriculture and Incomes in Syria (GROW) Activity” in Northeast Syria. This position reports to the Logistics Assistant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cleaner is responsible for the following:
•
Clean the offices, meeting rooms, washrooms/WC, kitchen, and other common areas such as the compound.
•
Ensure that kitchen is fully supplied and prepare the shopping list.
•
Visit the market for shopping whenever is needed.
•
Ensure compliance with CHF procedures and policies.
•
Ensure that washrooms are properly stocked with wash requirements.
•
Dust and polish furniture, floors, windows, doors, and equipment.
•
Empty wastepaper baskets, dustbins, and shredding machines
•
Report any relevant gaps, damages, and breakages to line manager.
•
Support the administration with specified duties (Such as transporting drinking water from the warehouse to the kitchen within the same building daily).
•
Any other assignment by the supervisor
Education:
•
Secondary School Certificate preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
•
Minimum six months work experience as a cleaner.
•
Previous experience working in complex and volatile contexts.
•
The ability to write and read in Arabic.
•
Knowledge about special skills/profile.
•
Document findings related to position responsibilities.
