Position: livelihood & resilience coordinator
Direct manager position: Project officer
Project/ Workplace: Northeast Syria, Deir Ezzor, Hajin.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• University degree or higher in social sciences, Gender/ Women’s Studies, Law or Development Studies or another related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience working with Communities in resilience programming and livelihood program management in an NGO context.
General Work Experience:
• Demonstrated experience in relevant resilience projects.
• Experience in project management (e.g., monitoring, reporting).
• Experience with integration / mainstreaming of economic resilience and conflict-sensitivity across other programmes and projects is a plus.
• Experience in working with communities.
• Knowledge of humanitarian industry including sphere standards, NGO code of conduct and humanitarian charter.
Skills & Abilities:
• Effective Communication Skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in and contribute to team building environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• English (professional/working level)
• Arabic (native/professional written and spoken)
• Strong analytical, documentation, problem solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work with different partners, local authorities, local organizations and NGOs, to develop and maintain positive relationships.
• Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina.
• Ability to maintain performance expectations in diverse cultural contexts, psychologically stressful environments and physical hardship conditions with limited resources.
• Ability to cope and deal with stress and work under stressful work conditions is a requirement.
GENERAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides effective support for the implementation of the Women’s working group project.
• Coordinate the overall project work plan implementation according to the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP).
• Gather inputs and support the preparation of periodic narrative progress reports for the partner and the donor.
• Record and maintain documents on relevant Project activities, issues, and risks.
Manage coordination, implementation, and operations with project operations staff to execute project activities.
• Identify capacity building needs and support beneficiaries through technical assistance, mentoring, training, and capacity development initiatives, as needed.
• Support the Project officer at executing project activities including implementation and monitoring and engaging with government stakeholders.
Supports the monitoring and reporting on the project at national level.
• Gather and compile all information necessary for monitoring and reporting on the project.
• Monitor the implementation of activities and the expenditure of funds; conduct regular monitoring visits, as required.
• Draft and provide inputs to annual and quarterly reports; coordinate the submission of implementing partner financial and narrative reports.
• Contribute to the preparation of internal and external reports, as per requirements.
• Document lessons learnt and best practices from experience and comparative initiatives; incorporate learnings into the ongoing work and suggest ways to improve the processes of the Humanitarian and Recovery work based on this review.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.
Advocate and facilitate knowledge building and management and communication.
• Document the programme implementation process and products.
• Contribute to the exchange of information and provide inputs to the development of knowledge products internally and externally of the programme.
• Coordinate the organization of events and trainings.
• Facilitate knowledge building and knowledge sharing in the women’s groups.
• Identify sources and compile data and information for the preparation of documents, guidelines, and other materials as required.
• Contribute to briefing materials, meeting notes, notes for file, PowerPoint presentations and other documents for the team and keep all papers ready for meetings.
